In her corner! Bethenny Frankel gave a positive update on Luann de Lesseps, who recently returned home from a rehab stint after being arrested for battery and intoxication.
“Luann’s great. I can’t say I’m surprised, because Luann is the most resilient, strong woman I’ve ever met, maybe,” Frankel, 47, said during Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen on Tuesday, February 6. “You know, she hit the wall going 90. The way you handle something when something bad happens is really character building and it shows a lot about a person.”
As previously reported, de Lesseps, 52, was arrested on December 24 in Palm Beach, Florida, for battery on a law enforcement officer, resisting arrest with violence, disorderly intoxication and corruption by threat.
After receiving treatment, she tweeted on January 23 that she was “doing great” and spending time with friends and family.
“She’s taking care of herself. She’s taking it seriously. She’s not delusional about where she is. And she’s sort of on a path and she’s in a good place,” Frankel added on Tuesday of her Real Housewives of New York City costar. “She’s very honest about exactly where she is, about what happened, about what her goals are, and we spent time in a spa and honestly I’m impressed.”
